In general, these are the items we typically need for a pre-approval or loan application:
- Government-Issued photo ID
- Most recent paystubs, covering at least 30 days, showing year-to-date earnings
- Most recent 2 years W-2s
- Most recent 2 months bank statements
Of course, every scenario is different, and the following may apply as well:
- 1099s
- Social Security/Pension award letter
- Year-end paystubs (if bonus, overtime, and/or commission are to be included)
- * Personal/Business Federal Tax Returns- all pages, schedules, & statements
- Divorce Decree and Marriage Settlement Agreement
- Homeowner’s Insurance Declaration page for any properties currently owned
- Mortgage statement for any properties currently owned
- Proof of association dues for any properties currently owned
- DD-214
- Employment Offer Letter
- Bankruptcy paperwork
* For Self-Employed applicants and most applications who have rental properties
